YOU WANTED IT, SARISA. WELL YOU GOT IT.
This is a Vaati x Jen one-shot based on an IMRP of mine and Sarisa's. Enjoy.
The young man worked endlessly in his house, slaving away on his latest scheme. He was very lonely, and he wanted something to keep him company. So he worked on creating a monster to do his bidding. For several days, the young man worked. He poured his heart and soul into his creation, hoping that this time the creation wouldn’t be a failure.
He succeeded in creating something, but it was only a shell. Heartbroken, he left the room and retired to bed. Sleep was what he needed. Maybe tomorrow, he could try again…
While he slept however, the shell started to twitch. It was only a finger at first, and then more of the monster’s body started to move until it started walking around on its own. The first thing the monster did when it could walk was to make its way to its master’s room. The monster opened the door to where a crack of light fell on the sleeping man. The monster was very quiet in slipping into the room, and it stood beside the bed for hours until the young man awoke. Upon seeing the monster moving in his bedroom, the young man promptly fell out of bed onto the floor.
“Master… I am sorry. Did I… scare you…?”
The young man was even more amazed to hear the monster speaking human language than seeing the monster walk on its own.
What a creation I’ve made. Do I truly have the skill to give life to monsters? If so... could I move forward to giving this one a human form?
That was the young man’s next task. The very next day, the young man set to work. He honed his magic and tried for days upon days to give his creation a human form. But alas, his work was in vain. No matter how hard he tried, he could not give his creation a human form to match his own. So, after giving up his effort he retired to bed.
This lack of sleep cannot be good for me. I need full rest if I’m going to take on my enemy…
But while the young man slept, the monster wandered the halls. She did not require sleep. She wandered the halls until she came upon a shrine in a closed off room. This monster, who had a bit of a conscience and a desire to make her master happy, knelt before the shrine and prayed. She prayed and prayed for hours upon hours, and when she finally tired out, she curled up near the shrine and slept.
The next morning, the young man noticed the door to the room with the shrine ajar. He peeked inside, and upon seeing a nude woman with long black hair lying in the floor near the shrine, he started to get a flowing nosebleed. He ran off to get a scrap cloth to stem this. But when he came back, the woman was gone. He searched high and low for her. When he found her, she was standing in the main area of the house, wearing a flowing black dress. She looked at the young man and with softness in her voice that most new creations have, she said to him,
“Is this… what you wanted, Master…?”
